Community Children's Choir
Program Details
Join us for a joyful year of music-making in the Community Children's Choir, a choral program designed for students in grades K-5. Open to all children in Roxbury and neighboring communities, this program fosters musical growth, creativity, and community through singing.
The choir is divided into two age-appropriate groups:
Skylarks (Grades K–2)
Led by Mrs. Feeney and Mrs. Hunter
This introductory choir is perfect for young singers in Kindergarten through 2nd grade who love to sing, move, and explore music in a playful and supportive setting. Children will develop their musical ears, build confidence, and learn the basics of healthy singing through games, songs, and simple choreography.
No audition or prior experience is necessary—just bring your voice and enthusiasm!
Skylarks needs a minimum of 10 students in order to run.
Songbirds (Grades 3–5)
Led by Mrs. Harrison Calderon and Mrs. Stoyanov
This ensemble is designed for students in grades 3 through 5 who are ready to take their musical skills to the next level. Singers will explore a wide range of repertoire, build vocal technique, and develop musical literacy while learning to work as a team in a fun and encouraging environment.
No audition is required—this is a welcoming space for all singers, whether they’re just starting out or already love performing.
Songbirds needs a minimum of 20 students in order to run.
Two Sessions Available:
Families may choose to enroll in either or both of the following sessions:
- Fall Session: September 2025 – December 2025
- Spring Session: January 2026 – May 2026
Each session will culminate in a performance to showcase the children’s hard work and progress.
Rehearsals and all choir activities will take place at Eisenhower Middle School in Succasunna, NJ.
Whether your child is new to singing or already loves to perform, the Community Children’s Choir is a fun and supportive space to learn, grow, and sing with friends!
- This program is open to Roxbury and non-Roxbury residents in grades K-5.
- Minimum enrollments must be met by Friday, September 19th.

Please complete this form and send it in with your payment to the Roxbury Community School located within Lincoln/Roosevelt School at 34 North Hillside Avenue, Succasunna, NJ 07876.
The Roxbury Community School is self-sufficient and a course/program must pay for itself. If there are not enough registrants, the course/program will be canceled. The Coordinator reserves the right to remove from class those individuals who have not paid tuition.
There are no refunds for courses/camps AFTER the program starts. All cancellations must be received in writing to comschool@roxbury.org at least seven days prior to the start of the class for a refund. After that date, there will be no refunds.
