Mad Science (Grades K-4)
Overview
Mad Science is the world's largest science enrichment provider. We pride ourselves on the unique and interactive way of teaching students how to make science fun! Using an extremely hands-on and enthusiastic approach, we give students the chance to become Mad Scientists. We have FUN down to a science!

Enroll today! Space is limited! The program must have a minimum of thirteen (13) students to run at each location.
Please look at the days/dates carefully, as there are no makeup classes for individual absences. Makeup classes will only be scheduled for canceled classes. Students must take classes in the school in which they attend, except for the spring break camp.

Fall 2025 After-School Program
Mad Science Adventures (Grades K-4)
Get ready for Mad Science Adventures, the ultimate after-school program where young scientists mix, bubble, an fizz their way through thrilling experiments! From hands-on chemistry madness with dazzling reactions and kitchen concoctions to uncovering nature's secrets with bug investigations and earth explorations, every session is packed with excitement. Kids will solve mysteries like detectives, build wild machines, uncover movie magic, and dive into the science behind toys and weather - all while sparking curiousity and making discoveries that will blow their minds!
COST: $220/student for 8 weeks
TIME: 3:20-4:20 p.m. (1 Hour)

NJEA Break Camp (November 6-7, 2025)
Crayola: Legends & Lore - RCS NOTE 11/03/25: Canceled due to low enrollment
From sea creatures of the deep to phoenixes in the sky, every society has its legends and lore. We'll tell their stories throiugh paintings, sculptures and other works of art. These legends may inspire awe, curiousity or surprise, but they all inspire our imaginations!
TIME: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (7 Hours/Day)

Winter Break Camp (December 29, 2025-January 2, 2026)
Eureka The Inventors Camp and Locomotion
Inventing sparks curiosity, creativity, and discovery! At Eureka Camp, kids launch stomp rockets, witness volcanic eruptions, explore magnet-powered shipwreck hunts, and engineer bridges and boats to escape an island. They'll even test catapaults and a giant trebuchet for an unforettable adventure!
TIME: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (3 Hours/Day)

Ready STEM Go!
Kids discover how science shapes our world! They'll explore animals, create wild chemistry experiments, and dive into motion and energy. From radical robots to amazing power sources and cool tech, every hands-on activity brings science to life with exciting discoveries and fun!

The Roxbury Community School is self-sufficient and a course/program must pay for itself. If there are not enough registrants, the course/program will be canceled. The Coordinator reserves the right to remove from class those individuals who have not paid tuition.
There are no refunds for courses/camps AFTER the program starts. All cancellations must be received in writing to comschool@roxbury.org at least seven days prior to the start of the class for a refund. After that date, there will be no refunds.
